The Palatine Hill is the place where Rome was founded and it boasts the remains of the Palaces of the Emperors. It is a green place with pine trees overlooking the Colossum and the Forum. The latter was the very downtown of the ancient Rome and nowadays it is still possibile to see the remains of the ancient temples, triumphal arches, institutional buildings and original roman roads. The last but not the least, the visit of the most famous roman amphiteatre, the Colosseum, will be the gateway to an indepth knowledge of the ancient roman tradition of the “ludi gladiatorii”.
