Its unique panorama, stone houses and suspended in time atmosphere make Pitigliano one of the most enchanting villages of central Italy! Its view is made unforgettable by the Medici imposing aqueduct with large arches. In Pitigliano you can’t miss visiting the famous Jewish Ghetto. The village has in fact gone down in history as the “Little Jerusalem” due to the large and very active Jewish Community that settled there from the 15th century.
Ten minutes drive far from Pitigliano, there’s the quaint medieval village, Sovana, which was the Capital of the Aldobrandeschi County in the 10th century.
Incredibly beautiful are its medieval churches with their frescoes! In the whole area, the Etruscan testimonies prevail with rock architectures and hollow streets carved into the rock.
