Guided Visit of the Etruscan Necropolis and a fun experience: an Etruscan Pottery Making Class
20 minutes drive far from Civitavecchia, there’s an amazing UNESCO site which boasts the first italic fresco paintings dating back to the 6th century before Christ. They are the artistic heritage left by the Etruscans, the cultural forefathers of the Romans, whose culture was the very root of the italic civilization: infact the name “Tuscany” itself means “the Land of the Etruscans”!
This tour will give you the chance to visit the Etruscan Necropolis and to “create and make” your own Etruscan vase! You will be assisted by a skilled and experienced ceramist, who will teach you how to use the pottery wheel and will show you the ancient Etruscan decoration techniques.
